Default Advice on a project truck/engine swap

Looking to do a rcsb,2wd, t56, 6.0 or 6.2. Trying to figure out what would be easiest/cheapest in the long run as far as donor truck. I find v6 manuals all day. 4.8 manual would be ideal I think but harder to find. I can find a few 4x4s with 4.8s and manual. If I could find a 2500 with a manual even. What about a long bed conversion? Any advice would be great. I have experience with a s10, 5.3, t56 swap.

How much does weight matter to you?

The 2500 tranny (nv4500) is going to be 100 lbs heavier than a T56. Might not matter to you. Plus NV4500 half of them are going to be 4WD. It will def shift like a truck as well.

I really feel like my best bet is to grab a v6, 5 speed. I'm looking to spend about 10k on the build including the truck. Nothing too crazy. I've got a 2011 v8 colorado now. Planing on selling it after I get done.
