Default 4.8 to 6.0

i found a bare block from gm for 642.05.i was wondering what all is involved in this swap and what parts to put in it.i want to keep it n/a for daily driving and maybe a little n2o.any stroker cranks?

It depends on how much you want to spend on it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> If you want a ~345hp 6.0L just buy the Caddy LQ9 engine and install it with some PCM tuning. That engine assembly was about $3500 with the core charge.

not sure what that might cost but you can get a complete used 6.0 longblock that will prety much bolt in for prety cheap, i have seen several go for around $1500, and one for $950, all of these were 2001+ and had the aluminum heads. there is a guy around here named valvegod that quoted me a price of $2500 for a new(i think) 6.0 longblock.

i am not sure but i think the only thing you would really need to do is some computer tuning to make it run right. i am as we speak in the process of swaping out my 5.3 for a 6.0 so in a day or two i might be a little more help
