on my 2000 i bought a rebuilt unit for 100 bucks off ebay. i believe it was from module masters.

my truck was doing this as well as a few other things, cleaned the grounds on the driver side frame rail and it fixed the prob, worth a try

My 03 Work truck does this same thing, never had a code for it though. Restarting makes it go away but until then you have to deal with the warning chime.

my lights have been coming on and off like that for years. just remember that when the lights come on, ABS dose not work( i found out the hard way). when the lights are on just be very aware of your stopping distances.
