Default 99 and newer rear stepside bumber interchangeable with fleetside?

I have a friend who wants my spare rear bumper which came off a 2000 GMC in his 2000 Chevy fleetside. I would like to know before I we even taking his bent rear bumper off. Thanks in advance.

it might fit to bolt in but if i'm not mistaken the fleetside bumper is wider than the sportside.

Yes they do fit. I sold my step side bumper to a guy with a newer Tahoe and it did fit.

I believe a step side bumper will fit a fleetside and an SUV but the fleetside bumper will not fit a stepside because the gap under the tail gate is a few inches shorter.
