Wondering what some of you guys have removed in order to save a few pounds on your trucks?

Clean all the junk out from the bed and under the seats.

remove spare-55#
remove trailer hitch-40#
on race days
remove tailgate-30# I think
remove rear seat-55#
Thats all Ive done so far.

Ive done spare and hitch... Emissions equipment will be coming out, lighter exhaust, the new motor has an aluminum block...

I've heard of people taking off all their skid plates to save a few lbs too. You could also switch to a roll pan from the bumper to save a couple more.

The tailgate def weighs more than 30# ! Or im getting older LOL.

Dont forget the headlight ! 2# 's ??

Some have taken out the pass seat and console ive seen ( not me too lazy).

I run my stock 17's on race day, 20's street/daily drive.

i removed the spare and the tow hitch and now i have even less traction.......

Spare(never had one), back bumper(never had one), tailgate, trailer hitch, skid plates, tailgate, back seat, and subwoofer box. Empty contents of the glove box, center console, and door pockets.

Of course, on my truck, the majority of that is gone daily, since I have a roll pan.

Spare tire is the most common and tailgate IMO.

Only ba thing about removing spare is less traction.
