Default 73-87 C10 trucks with 5" tach

He guys, im getting ready to add a tach to my truck and id like to see where all you guys with 73-87 C10 trucks are mounting your tachs at. Thanks!

PS pics would be a definite plus!

i had an 87 gmc rclb but wrecked it before i could mod it but it would have put it where the gas gauge is now, but it didnt have a tach init when i got it to the first thing i did was get a tach and i mounted it to the a pillar it was only a 3 3/8" though no pics sorry... got lots of complements on it it was only a 305

sweet...im thinking about mounting it in the middle of the dash, just on the left side of where the dash goes up to cover gauges/radio

like i said i had mine on the apillar but when i got enough $$$ i was going to swap out all the gauges and put autometer ultra-lite gauges and replace big gas gauge with tach and clock with gas gauge and put a shift light where the previous tach was i was also going to get billet dash panels to go with

i know exactly where you are mounting it but if you want to post the pic for everyone else to see OK

that would be a great spot its just right in the middle and sticks out i wanted a stealthy look myself

lol, not much, i have a 350 block, .030 over, 305 heads, MILD MILD cam, edelbrock intake, dual elec. cooling fans, 700R4 with corvette internals, 10 bolt posi rear end with 4:11 gears...


nothing special really

if you go much further the 700r4 wont take it and dont modify it you would be bette off to swap ina 400 turbo and be done with it

at least you got somethin to start with sbc 350- largest aftermarket of ANYTHING
