it doesnt do that at all. just knocks alot. i am hoping my cylinder walls are still good and it is just a bearing. im calling texas speed in the morning and im purchasing the 347 stroker kit with 10.5:1 compression and the 5.3L stage 2.5 heads and cam. i am pulling the pan off here in a bit and ill post pics of what i find.

well i got the pan off last night and pulled all of the rod caps off and they are in great shape. i rotated the engine and all the cylinder walls are looking good as well. im going to torque them all down again and pull the mains today and see what i find. i think i will have to check the wrist pins for play as well. i found metal in the pan so something went wrong. is there a way to check the lifters to see if maybe one of those is bad and thats why she is misfiring and clattering?
