5.3L or 6.0L

Default 5.3L or 6.0L

Is it reasonably possible to get to get the seat of the pants pull of a lq9 out of a worked 5.3l. I know anything is possible with $$$$ that's why I put "reasonably". I am in possesion of a 5.3l in my '06 crew cab now. As I have posted before I'm lookin' for more power. I was/am on route to all the bolt-ons and with heads and a cam. I would be terribly disappointed if I did not at least get the initial pull of my dad's ( 64 years old ) tuned SS. A 6.0l can be had for about the price of heads for the 5.3. So, in a nut shell, with a set budget, stick on the built 5.3l path or a slightly less built 6.0l. Thanks, Art

Just go the 6.0 route. No replacement for displacement. Plane and simple.

Think of it this way if you were to mod the 6 liter in the same ways as the 5.3 then you have more power from the additional displacement. Once you start it's hard to stop. Don't ask me how I know.

i had this same ?? for awhile, im going wit the 6.0 LQ9 when i get enough money

i went 4.8 to 6.0 my vote is 6.0 they rock with a cam 6.0
