Cool 2K to spend

OK I just got a thought of what to buy. Long tube headers with a mild cam (need input and needs to work without tuning and or with HPP3 tuning) and a shift kit. Then with the left over money have a GM dealer install all of it except the headers. What kind of gains could I see/ nice gains/SOTP??????? better idea than the used s/c right!

Buying a used supercharger is a good idea, but it brings up other questions. How many miles are on the current motor. I would not put a supercharger on a motor with more than 60k on it. Just my opinion though. Get the wheels and tires if your high mileage or you could get a low mile 5.7 or 6.0 for around 2k or less also. Something to think about.

I would go with the engine and a cam, maybe some cheap heads too. Or ... if you have a low milegae engine already .... cam and a converter. I think there have been a couple on here to buy a used charger and they didn't like the results. Not saying that would be the case with all of them though.

I would go the head/cam route ... maybe a cam and a torque converter instead.

I would use it on a down payment for one of them Hemi's. They are sooo much faster than our trucks stock for stock.

Really though, i'd go with a cam, convertor and tuning.

Another vote for cam and converter. If you can spare some more money, get a tune.
