Default 2006 Extended Cab SHORT box

I was just curious to see if there was a way to actually know if these trucks are really that rare.

I was told by a fella that works for GM, that they were only offered in 2006, and I for one haven't seen very many. 2 too be exact.

Also, why isn't there a GMT800 Forum for this type of question, there's 67-99 forums and GMT900 forums, but none for the 800.

You have a standard bed on your ext cab from the sounds of it.

I'm talking the bed that comes on the crew cabs.

Compnine.com will tell you how rare it is. They have a free trial, put your vin in and it will show you how rare it is.

I have only ever seen about 3 of them. I do know were there is one by me.

I would like to know if there was an RPO code for that option.

As for question about forums are you referring to an actual web forum or the general section's or categories listed within the forum???

I saw one on campus a year or two ago... Made me do a double take lol. It does look odd. I assume its the CCSB bed and ECSB body on an RCLB frame. Crazy combo.

I dunno if they are rare or not. Seen quite a few of them actually. And they continued in the GMT900's as I worked with a guy a few years with a GMT900 2007 that was an extended cab with the 5' 8" bed or whatever it is. Goofy looking IMO and utterly useless..... But hey, why not. Another guy dumped his 06 maybe 6 months ago I also work with and it was the same configuration.

Here is an 07 GMT800 for sale in this config....

And here is a thread from this very forum ( who would have thought.... lol) and a member here that had a stumpy bed Vortec Max with pics of said truck. I am glad they stopped making it, lol.

There isn't a listed RPO code that I could find.

There was a few that just come up as "sales options" but no specific RPO.

And, I was talking about sub forum on this site just for gmt800's, there isn't one I can find. Just for older trucks up to 98 and for trucks newer then 07.... Maybe I'm missing something.

According to compnine.com, there is only 5 of my truck ever built, not really a big deal. I'm more curious to how many RCSSB's were built. But I don't know which RPO code to check on compnine for this info.

Here's a picture of the RPO sheet from my truck, along with the VIN:

And a few of the truck:
