Default Is the 2005 5.3 still dubed a GM slapper?

Looking into trading in my 2002 Sierra Z71 for a 2005.I want to know if anybody knows if the 05's are slappers like the former 5.3's.My 02 5.3 is a good one at 103,000 k's,still running strong and healthy.I guess this is a good one as no sound comes out of it cold or hot.

The 05 is good to go. My 04 slapped like crazy until it warmed up.

My 01 was a slapper and a tapper, piston slap when cold, one or two lifters banging away when hot.

The '05 I just picked up sounds like a northstar, not a sound cold or hot.

Mine seems quiet, but it still has less than 1000 miles on it. I hope it doesn't slap as it gets older.

310hp w the L33, 295hp w/ LM7, TQ is the same for both motors as far as I have heard. I am avg'n 17.5 city driving and 20.5 highway. I have 500 miles on it now. I really wish I had found one with 4.10's, but the gas milage is good with the 3.42s. I hope this helps
