Default 2002 silverado speedo not working.

When I got this truck the speedo wasnt working, none of the needles/lights work except for the oil, voltage, backlighting, and turn signals. I checked all the fuses and asked the guy I got it from if the it happend before or after the cd player was installed andhe said it happend before.

ANY ideas would really help!!

The gauge cluster may be smoked...it's pretty common for 03-04's I believe, but I have heard of a few 99-02's going bad also

yeah recall was/is pretty much 03/04's though most have had issues getting the dealer to honor it. But it is a common problem from pretty much 01-06 gm vehicles.

This would be a good time to upgrade to a Denali or other style cluster with the 120mph speedo and trans temp gauge

I just got a new cluster for my 05 from Digital_dash_solutions. He has an exchange program. Order the cluster you want + $200 core charge. He ships out the one you ordered and you ship back your bad one once you get the new one. Then he refunds the core charge.

He has all sorts of them. I got one with trans temp gauge. I think you can do that with the 02 as well.
