Default 2001 4x4 Tahoe..Changing Oil Pan Gasket

Got the truck back from a dye test and my oil pan gasket is a leaking sob..What is all involved? Ive done all my own work on the motor swap and **** so its not big deal, but am I looking at just dropping the pan and changing the gasket, or do I have to partially drop the diff to get the pan out of there? Just trying to plan out my time. I know its only like 4 bolts to lower the diff and i dont think i would need to completely drop it to get the pan out..thanks guys

Gotta drop the diff. You can take off the driveshaft and 3 of the bolts and just rotate it down. You only need about 1.75" of extra clearance to pull the pan out.

You can try but I think it needs to come off.

Really? You cant just unbolt it and pull it out? On my truck its no biggie, i'll have to look under my tahoe to see.

nope i cant get the shaft out with the headers and ORY. The pipe is tucked up and is only like 1/4" from my driveshaft..no big deal though if i only need an inch or so from the diff, i should be able to make it work..

Yeah no doubt I haven't done a thing outside due to the disgustingly hot temps--

I took the motor mounts loose and picked up the engine with a hoist. It made plenty of room.
