ya no **** it is damn near impossible to keep any thing looking nice during the winter out here. They like to use salt on every thing and it just eats away.

after having a 4x4, i will never go back to 2WD, unless i have 2 trucks

up here, i know alot of guys put sand bags in the back. amazing the difference it will make. studded tires work good too.

with posi, the only problem is you fish tail more in the snow. kind of scarey at times. sometimes an open differential is more safe. you are just sacrificing acceleration because of the 1 wheel peel

got that right!!!! nice to have a beater. but when i used to take the truck out in the snow 4wd power slides were fun. but driveing a 2wd ranger with 4 big peices of concrete in the back works good. i love 2wd in the snow it makes it a lot more fun. but somedays a push button 4wd would be handy.

I love driving in the snow. With my older 4x4 with the selectable transfer case, I used to take "the hard way home" with all of the hills, to see if i could make it in 2wd.

I kind of wish I had a 2wd right now. This thing would be pretty good with a posi and some BFG AT's or other allweather/agressive street tires. (not these "car" tires I have now). I can't seem to drop the idea of just dropping an '80 in there, removing the front diff and t-case, and running in 2wd.

Even now though, I love to use the throttle to steer whenever I can. This truck is extremely predictable and easy to bring back when you get it all out of shape.

Sometimes I click my out of auto4 just so I can get side ways and do some doughnuts. I learned to drive in a 74 Malibu station wagon that weighed more than my truck and was a peg legger. Man that was fun while it lasted. My older brother and I smoked the tranny on dad's ride...ooops. Sorry dad, I don't know what happened!!

I can not imagine having a 2 wheel drive truck in the snow we get up here. My truck is ****** useless in 2 wheel drive even with aggressive 285's, hell 4 wheel drive ain't that much better with this much tq. Time for a front locker.
