Not for one second. I live in MN and all my life I've driven 2wd trucks. If the weather is bad enough where I can't get around, then no one should be out. My trucks have only gotten stuck if it gets deep enough where I have to push snow or the frame gets hung up on a snow bank. Just get yourself a posi and you're good to go I don't even use sandbags!

How do you drive in snow if you can't get any traction?

I have driven in snow before in my truck and while not the funnest thing in the world it was doable. I only almost died like two times in a 45 mile drive so it wasn't too bad.

I slip into 2nd gear to start then ease into the throttle. Works like a charm.

The only problems I have is with steep hills in ice, and other drivers in 4x4's thinking their trucks are impervious to ice!

Other than that I just take it slow and easy.

Invest in 4 studded snows and you won't have a problem.

Z cable tire chains are cheap and easy to install in a pinch as well.

I drove my Stepside its first year and it wasn't a problem.
The only reason I don't drive it now is because of the massive amount of ****** salt they dump on the roads. It totally destroys evrything, powdercoat jethot, stainless, aluminum it doesn't matter.
