Default 1990 Yamaha YZ250

Do you guys think this would be a good bike for me? I just want something that I can ride around and have fun on. I am not looking for the fastest bike out there. I was going to purchase a Husqvarna, but the guy sold it before I could look at it. The bike I am now looking at is in great condition, it has a rebuilt motor and they are asking $1600 obo. I think I can get it for about $1400. Would this be a good deal?

I just bought my son a 04 Honda CRF50F. That little thing is awsome. I cannot wait until he is old enough that I can start to mod it.

I wouldn't pay more than 11-1200 hundred for a 1990 model bike.

I started to think that also. I have since found some other bikes for cheaper. Thanks for your help.

I race motorcycles on an Expert level....the A class and that much for a 1990 model YZ is ridiculous...not only because of the age...but because they sucked that year...in fact almost all the way up to 96... . Def check around ebay for some super cheap bikes that are in good condition. FYI...imho...Husqvarna and any other non japanese dirtbike except for the new KTM are not worth the trouble or expense. Jap bikes....tried and trued and cheaper to fix. PM me if your still looking for a dirtbike. 02 YZ134-National Qualifying Bike..

Jordan, what series do you race?

NETRA Hare Scramble series here. I'm a lowly C rider out with an injury.

(NETRA, New England Trail Riders).

Jordan,
do you do alot of riding at finger lakes or st. joe st park(AKA flat river) grew up in Chesterfield, used to ride these areas all the time, plus a lot of areas in Bridgeton where fred weber has their quarries now.

Sorry for taking so long. I usually ride out at Rolla, or Moberly....sometimes go to Finger lakes and ride if there is moisture in the ground. I hate St. Joe's cuz its all sand and screws up my bike's bearings and on my 125 seems like i need a new top end every time...lol. I race District 18 and 17 motocross and fair races. Went to Loretta Lynn's last year in the 250/ Open C class and got 18th....Hella muddy. I think we got 18 inches of rain down there. So anyways moved up to B for the rest of the year, and then A. Haven't rode for awhile now cuz college just got out...but I'm looking to race this Sunday at the MO state series at Moberly.
PS I need to buy a truck for carrying dirtbikes....anybody?
