I guess i just didn't realize they were so far behind the 5.3's without goin into the motor.
Is the fastest 4.8 still held at 13.2? This is NA of course....

I know Mine did a 16.0 @ 87.6mph. I had an intake, Muffler and a tune. Open diffs with stupid BFG all terrains. I don't know why they came with those on the 2wd. 60ft was a 2.6 and it had 3.42. I ran again with headers and ORY and smaller tires. I ran a 15.6 @ like 88.5 I think. The guy who ran 15.1 @ 90 with open diffs and a 3.42... That's a really good time. I don't know what type of tires you ran, but with your little mods and the 4.8, your et was about .4-.8 faster than it should have been. You must have some how hooked that one tire at the launch. 60ft times were what?

At the track I was running Sumitomo HtRZs aired down to about 28lbs. Anything more and I loose top end speed. They grip great, and alot of times my open diff will spin both rears on flat ground. If one tire is a little more worn though, it will go up in smoke. Both being new tires, they both seem to hook. I cant explain it, but it is an open diff. I still have a small amount of wheel spin though. Also, at the time there was worn shocks on the rear, the weight transfer was great. 60fts were 2.35-2.37.For some reason, this 4.8 has always run hard, even stock it was beating stock 5.3s. Dont know.

Oh damn; I didn't realize you were 4wd. That explains the time a little better; that's not bad considering the weight.

As far as I know the n/a record is still 01Thunder's 13.2. I'm confident that they're capable of 12's n/a but nobody's done it yet. I'm putting in a new trans, converter, and a Detroit in within the next couple of weeks and I'm hoping for 13's with the stock internal motor. I want to see 12's one day n/a but I think I'm gonna have to do the + 1.2 liter mod to do it

With that speed and et you should be putting about 280 - 300hp to the wheel (s) which without a cam, or fi, or gears and locker... I dont see how its possible... they put about 220-230 to the wheels stock. I know you ran the time you stated... its on video. But it doesnt make sense. Also get a floor jack and jack up the rear end. spin 1 tire. if the other spins backwards, its open diff. if they spin the same, its not. Maybe you have a freak motor.

I always wanted to go to the track, but with a 4.8 ecsb with 3.23s and 20s, i will probably just be more disappointed than anything. If i was to re gear later down the road would 4.11s be the best bet, cause i notice most with 3.73s.

6.0L... someday

3.23's and 20s? jesus. That's gotta blow do low, but you prolly got a nice 2nd gear highway pull though!
