Its hard enough to get an NA 5.3 ext cab z71 into the 13's with regular tires or even smaller ones for that matter.

All about overall diameter two tires can weight the exact same but if one is taller then its going to make you slower to a certain extent.

Well a 265/70 is gonna be shorter in height... so i cant see how his statement makes sense..

According to him the buckshots are 32's the damn metric **** has always gotten on my nerves. It is so much easier to say 32x10 and you know the exact measurements without all the conversion bs.

265 is a 31... 285 is 32.7 and some change.

Those tire sizes are almost exactly the same diameter. The firestones are 16" and the buckshots are 17".

Firestone 265/75r16 = 31.64"
Buckshots 265/70r17 = 31.60"

Not sure what they weigh but they must be close I would think?

same width the 265 is your width then the 70 or 75 is how big your side wall is so since ones a 17 it makes up for the differance between the 70 and 75 and there both the same size they are probly heavier because there mud tires and they may be a higher load range to.
