Did you put a deposit down or any payment on it? If not, you don't really have to buy the truck do you?

Bingo! Anyway, both the 4.8 and 5.3 are great engines, don't get me wrong. Also, the dealer you are working with can do what they call a "dealer trade". They can tell in two minutes, what other dealers have, what you are looking for & they simply send a driver over & bring it back to your dealership the very next day. They trade(or not) a vehicle that the other dealer has a need for, whether its a car, truck or whatever. I have done this. But some salesman are just not hungry enough to do this. Believe me, there are hundreds of the exact same truck, that you want, at other dealers. Sometimes in the next state over, but the same trades happen. Down here in south florida, 24 hours is the very longest it takes to satisfy a customer this way. Just my .02 Gar

Default There ya go...

Good idea. You can't wait forever. On another note...In the local paper this morning(Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel), There is a 1995 Chevrolet C-1500 W/T with an automatic transmission(does'nt state what engine), with 7,000 miles on it, for $12,000.00... I might give them half that(?). Hmmmm... Its at the local BMW dealer, of all places.

Jimmy, just go to a different fealer. Dont settle for a truck you dont really want just because there trying to push there old out of date **** off on you. It only takes a week to get a truck shipped from southern states. I bet a dealer in TX will work with you and even ship the truck to your door.

Just dont settle man, get what YOU want.

Not trying to hijack, so I'll make this short.

Do some of you guys work for Chevy Dealerships? If so, let me know. PM me, cause I am wanting to get a new NNBS Silverado and they don't have anything like it down here in TX. Figure I will have to order, but might be worth a look up north.
