Question Warranty?

If your modifying it when you get it(Yank converter, etc.), won't you be giving up the factory warranty??? Also, I would have gotten the 5.3 for sure. But I guess you can mod the 4.8 too.

when i had originally ordered it they wernt making the nbs. originally it was a classic. but, at that time the 5.3 was 1600 more i couldnt afford it. a week went by and then they called me and said they werent taking orders yet and stopped making the classic so, when they finally ordered the nbs, they failed to tell me it was only 600 now for the 5.3 . so here i am with a 4.8. i couldnt afford it before.

as far as the warranty goes. how are they gonna know what i have if its not on when i take it in????? yeah its alot of work but, ill deal with it. also, they cant void your warranty unless they prove the aftermarket part is the culprit for breaking something.

everyone is so doubtful of the 4.8. thats another reason i likes it. i like to be the underdog.

by law you can pretty much do whatever the hell you want and it wont void anything... UNLESS its found that an aftermarket part caused the failure, in which case they still dont void your entire warranty. Example, his TQconverter somehow manages to **** up and destroy his tranny, obviously they wont warranty the tranny and he pays for it, but if the next day all his speakers blew they wouldnt say "well you put in a TQconverter so you get to pay for new speakers too".

I bet you'll be pissed when you mod your 4.8L with the stuff you bought and a bone stock 5.3L still spanks you. lol Get you a cam that can rev to 7,000rpms, that short stroke would scream then.

At least having an LSx vehicle now you could easily swap in a 6.0L later if you wanted. Alot easier than an engine swap in the 97.

If you can afford to mod it, you could have managed the difference in payment to the 5.3L...
