What kind of gas mileage are you really getting? city and highway.

Thinking about making a trade, again, lol.

There aren't very many out there yet. I have driven them and put some miles on them though. We have a 2wd and a 4wd version that I've driven at work for the hell of it. Both seemed to get around 15-17mpg average on the highway. They are the most torque managed vehicles I've ever driven.

i think i'm going to find out

going to the dealer tomorrow to see if we can find the one I want and talk some numbers. I may end up ordering just what i want.

I heard the flex fuel 5.3 has bigger injectors then the regular 5.3. Any truth to this? can someone tell me mechanical differences between these 2 motors. Would there be any performance advantages for either one?

i'm looking at:

07 NNBS 1500 reg cab. WT
A/C
cruise control
locking diff.
power locks
5.3L
LS package for W/T
3.73 gears
Towing Package
WT convenience Package

i'm pretty sure you're right about the flex fuel ones having bigger injectors. if you can, go for that.

I agree on the TM statement. Took a 07 VortecMax Silverado for a drive last night and I wasn't impressed. The 4 speed seems more strained than ever and the truck felt alot less responsive than my 05 5.3L HO. I'm going to go back to test drive a Denali to see what that 6.2L can do but I don't have my hopes up.

well I did it. they looked on the computer and found one in Alabama. I t had every thing I wanted and a little more. I didn't want the carpet or the tinted windows. but for $180 dollars I said what the hell. The numbers where right where I thought they would be. I'm supposed to pick it up tomorrow. I'll post some pictures when I get it.

the wait is killing me, lol.

Very cool, keep us updated on the mileage deal. I know my old '00 RCSB 5.3L 2wd would get 21mpg on the highway if I didn't jump on it a bunch so I'd hope a new one could at least do that.

What color did you get?
