I wake up everyday and just want to go drive it. I still love it. the gas milage seems to be getting a little better too.
I went to thunder racing friday and they ordered me a K&N 63 serries CAI and a hooker areochamber 3" in/out centered. I'm going to dump it after the axle. I had a hard time deciding on a muffler. After watching a bunch of videos on here I decided to with the HOOKER. The Borla xr-1 was a close second. I will make a transition video for you guys when I get everything.
these trucks are probably help back a lot by their tuning. I noticed yesterday that there is even a 4K rev limit in park, lol.

my first tank was horrible. 14.55 MPG. That was a lot of sprited city driving
I have eased up on the throttle some. Now my second tank was 15.2 MPG.
I'd like to see it get even better, considering it has active fuel management.
hopefully my new goodies will help in that department.
It's hard to stay out the throttle. I guess it's because it's new, lol.
I'll be making a trip to georgia at the end of may, so I can get some highway mileage figures then

Every time I get a set of days off and plan a trip, the weather goes for crap (rain and snow) so I just let it sit.
The truck average economy matched my own calculations when I filled up.
The driving makes huge difference, esp off the lights. Everyone should have that instant economy readout and they could see in real time how their driving affects mileage. I think the RCSB's really have an advantage here as the 5.3 doesn't work nearly as hard to move it compared to say a crewcab 4x4. My higher altitude would affect it some as well as less air means less fuel and less power too but how much it overall it I don't know.
I think GM said AFM would give abut 10% improvement over non AFM, which isn't much if you think about it.
Been almost a month and I'm still blown away by how this thing drives....
