Default 05 2wd SS track times

Just got back from the track and made a few passes. It was pretty consistent. I was running 29.5/9.0-15 et drags. My best run was:

Reaction---+.4747
60ft--------2.1545
1/8 et------9.5293
1/8 mph----74.39
1/4 et------14.8632
1/4 mph----90.76

There is still a little more left in it. Had I not been hitting my top speed limiter I think I would have managed a 14.7. My speedo said 100 but all my runs were 90mph. I am going to get my tune installed and the Pacesetters and we will be at it again next weekend.

Oh yeah if whoopazzracing and ultimategixxer1 dont post there times by tommorow morning I will post them for them.

That's a great time! Throw 100 shot of gas on it with a cold air kit and get your shift points set with a tuner. You will be way in the low 13's. A high 12 is not out of reach at all.

Great times. You should see low 14 with a custom tune and some exhaust work.

I am hoping I hit a low 14 when I put my headers-ory, and the nelson tune. I only have 1300 miles on it right now too. People were looking at me like "what the **** is this kid doing racing his truck and it still has paper plates" I had an older dude ask me "why in the world would you put drag tires on an AWD"

That's because your speedo isn't calibrated for 29.5" tires.

Was your truck totally stock during those runs? That's a damn good base to work with if that's the case.

Yeah its showroom floor bone stock. I tried getting away with putting down my tailgate but they told me to either take it off or put it up. So I just put it up. Next weekend I will take off the hitch and spare tire, tailgate, and add the pacesetter LTs and the tune. I am wanting to keep the stock muffler, will it hurt the flow of the catless exhaust that much?

Great times OUT2WIN. You should be running around what I run after the Nelson Tune and exhaust. I currently still use the factory exhaust. I want to put the Dynatech long tubes with cats on, but I'm hearing you lose bottom end power and gain more on the top. Though I love low end torque, would hate to lose some more(My Volant CAI kit w/ ram air took away from my bottom end torque, but gave me more upper rpm power) low end power.

Flopros or magnaflow IMO are the best as far as performacne and being quiet but then again I dont believe in quiet exhaust.

I will eventually get a magnaflow or corsa exhaust but I need to give it some time. My last truck had a magnaflow with turndowns. I loved the sound on that one.
