Default 04 Silverado under hood wiring

Hello,

I have a 04 Silverado 4.8l 2wd manual trans I'm trying to get back on the road.

After removing about 15lbs of aftermarket wiring for various things, I have a couple of red wires I am unsure of where they belong.

The wires are basically under/near the fuse cover and closer to the master cylinder, the blue wires obviously go together, but where does the red wires with the lugs go? These appear to me to be apart of the factory harness.

Do they go on the posts around the fuse panel?

See attached picture.

Thanks, the red wire on the right comes through the main bundle I am pretty sure.

I took out the speaker/amp wiring and viper alarm. These just appeared to be part of factory stuff.

The relay and wires on the left side of the fuse block are for the heat exchanger pump I replaced. Just wanted to drop the battery in and crank it up.

Those 2 octagon shaped ring terminals look like factory jobbers to me. That's the style they use in other places.

They probably attach to those other hot studs under the fuse block, someone should have a similar truck to look at and see.

You would probably be OK to try to start without them connected anyway, and see what Doesn't come on. Also check the fuse box lid and see what the top left/right studs are fused for and if those items aren't working while running.

I have an 02 with a 4.8 and a 5spd, and no that does not look factory. There is no factory power wire on that stud. I don't think either end of that blue wire is factory, I'm pretty sure there are no waterproof connectors in that location. If I enlarge that second picture, and see the blue wire right where it enters the main harness, it looks like the sheathing is removed. I would undo that tape, and see if that was spliced in. My guess is a second effort to add either a stereo or alarm. Are you able to follow either of those split looms that come off that relay, or run a voltage test on those wires?

Looks like the wiring Magnacharger uses for their intercooler pumps.

those two red wires with the terminals (one bigger then the other) are for a trailer brake controller, they sit under the cover on all trucks

they get connected to the stud and the bolt thats in the picture top left bolt that has the red wire on it and the top right stud thats bear, if your not installing a trailer brake controller nothing to worry about since they are not carrying any power when not connected

Man, you guys are awesome!

I just traced the lower ones back to the 7-pin connector in the rear. I will tie these down and secure them.

On to the brakes (cracked) and the exhaust.
