03 electric fans swap ?'s

Na, I'm going for some performance. Bolt on 5.3 for now, still collecting parts and going to do everything at once. I've been looking for efans off a parts truck for a while now, everyone people usually buy the fans first. We keep having to put each other off for various reasons. I'm gonna get the 145amp alternator, center console/glove box section and see if I need anything else. The oem relay/efan fuse block clips to my 03 correct?

Alright, so I went and got the fans, harness, and radiator today. The guy gave me the whole headlightharness, engine harness, and the harness with the power distribution "block"(red box). From looking at it and laying it out I'm going to strip the headlight harness, and trace the plug that is posted a few post up. Thank you for posting that pic because it's what made most of this make sense to me. The relay/fuse block for the fans didn't come with a cover but I'll figure that out. Now my question is, from looking at the radiator I just got it has trans cooler lines built in like my factory but it has a shot ton of sludge type **** in it. Is it alright if I bypass and do a true cool 40k or just get it flushed, or get it flushed then feeding to the 40k.
. I couldn't buy the 145amp alternator which is no big deal. Also, where can I buy the bolts for the fans, I forgot to take them with me.

It would be best to buy a new radiator so that you can use the built-in cooler, but since that is not going to happen, it will be safer to bypass the built-in cooler than to risk getting any of the crud into your transmission.

I'm gonna bring my factory radiator bolt up to fastenal and see If they've got something. Yeah, I'm not gonna use the radiator, in looking at a new one that doesn't even have a transcooler built in and run a true cool. Unless yall see a benefit from running both a true cool and built in in the radiator. A radiator is too cheap to chance, cheap insurance pretty much.

That small fuse block that's about 3-4" square is just for the fan harness. It holds the relays, there is no cover for it. The lights are not WIRED into the fan harness, they are just wrapped together. If you unwrap the wires, the lights are separate from the fan. You can just remove the light portion, and add the fan harness in without cutting any wires. Take the small fuse block, for the fan harness; it will have a 2 pin plug and a ground. The other end has the two fan plugs (that were pictured) and another ground. That's all you need out of what sounds like the entire engine harness + the lights and fan harness that you got.
