The springs that are in that accumulator assembly are rather weak. They are replaced with good heavy springs. The washers go under the spring to make them seem even stiffer.

The holes in the seperator plate are opened up to let more fluid through which makes the gear change hit harder since there is more fluid to hit.

The servos will only affect the 1-2 and 3-4 shift. They sit on the side of the tranny case and push on the band to close it up and tighten it.
