do you have anything in writting that says 400rwhp? do you have any kind of guarantee, or warranty for it? is there any way he could prove you were driving the tranny hard, such as burnouts, racing, hotroding?

he knows that the truck is divin hard. i.e. the race track.
before i even gave the go ahead for him to rebiuld it. we sat down and had about a 30- 45 min talk about what i wanted. he understood and said it would not be a problem to build me a trans taht will hold up to 600 hp. one example of his work is MR.MIX. he used his truck as an example several times and said he had not had a problem from it since he rebuilt it two years ago. i do have a warranty on it and that is why i am basically stuck with this shop. i cant afford another 2300 for a new trans.but i have only had this trans for three months and have blown it up 4 times.
once again he knew what was going to be done with the truck.

Yep, John Goebel out of Waco Tx. He's a lot less than $2300. There's several f-bodys in DFW that are running in the low 10s if not high 9s with this tranny.

have him rebuilt it again, but this time make him use the best parts available, and you yourself verify that he is infact using those parts. if i'm not mistaken Mix has broken his tranny several times since 2 years ago.

01 Thunder,
I don't know a good trans. shop but I know of two that aren't.
With your "built trans".troubles and Whitt's three times down "built trans." I 'm going to GM and buying a 4L65E if mine goes.
Sorry to hear of your break-up I hope your next trans. relationship is lasting.

well got the truck back today. had them take out all three washers and tweak the epc down about one and a half turns. as lance and i discussed the seperator plate has probably been drilled out to big and it still shifts hard, just not as hard as before.tranny feels a little better too, seems to take off a little better and pull better too. the only big problem i have right now is a major transmission fluid leak. didnt notice it untill late this evening when i was runnin a GT. i noticed that there was smoke pouring out from behind me in my rearview mirror. got back home and discovered that the whole underside of the truck is covered with transmission fluid so monday after work im headed back to see what has come lose or what wasnt put back together right.............................
.............................AND THE SAGA CONTINUES......................................... ..
join us next week as we learn what ever became of little boby and his baseball bat.

Thats just ridiculous. I'd make them clean the whole underside of your truck......and give you your money back. No way would I put up with that BS - and I'm a pretty easy going guy.

Hope it works out in the end tho.

WELL THE ****** TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AGAIN THIS MORNIN!!!!!!
at 5:00am on my way to work. had it towed there and told him this is the last time. the trans fluid was 4 inches over the full mark. and he said that he had his best worker work on it and i told him that apparently he didnt know how to fix it. also that if he cant fix it he needs to send it to someone that can. and im afraid that he is putting in used parts and that is what might be causing my problems. i so F$#@# mad right now but i stuck between a rock and a hard spot because i dont have the money to take it to another shop and get it fixed, plus fight him with a lawyer to get my money back.
