I'm curious why you want steel? the entire bed is plastic, why not get a plastic one? and honeslty, i've yet to see a company that makes a steel one, i could be wrong though.

Sir michaels makes a steel roll pan for a stepside and so does chassis tech.

Well i am corrected..... but i still don't understand why you'd want steel, on a plastic bed..... but to each his own. I have a street scene urethane pan... easy as cake to install

Can I get pics of that one?
I don't want the fiberglass ones, and it's tied with the street scene polyurathane one and the Sir Michaels Steel one.. I don't know if I will like the look of the license plate box up that high...

I made this is photoshop to compare for myself, but I don't know if the street scene one looks like the one I made on the right...

the street scene looks exactly like the one on the right. i custom cut holes in it for my exhaust, i'll hook you up with pics tommorow, when it's light out.

granted they may look the same...i've always preferred steel over plastic, maybe a peace of mind issue, i don't know. and if i get hit from behind, i think the steel would be a little better. to each his own though.

if you get hit from behind you have a whole 6 foot bed to protect you. that is unless you are worried about the tailgate. then you should really have a bumper.

I've heard that some plastic rool pans are so light/flimsy that they vibrate when you are driving. Could some one with a pastic one check and see if this is true for our trucks? Wouldn't want it to look cheap when I'm driving down the highway
