I'll have be removing a set of factory rockers once my Harland Sharp 1.7's arrive...although if my ticking/tapping noises go away, you might not want them. Also gonna have a set of Comp 915 springs that I'm swapping out for ls6 springs. (wanna try to see if I can eliminate some of the valvetrain noise.)

How is the quality of those rockers? Are they reputable?

From what I've read here, they seem to have a good rep. I just ordered them from Texas Speed, hope to have them at my doorstep soon

Do you use the black pedestal instead of the stock shaft to mount these bad boys? I got the 1.8's, I sure hope I have enough clearance. What is my lift up to now? Cam has .566 and the addition of 1.8 rockers. Is this way too much for a 5.3?

Your new lift number is .600 (1.8*.566/1.7). I think your going to run into piston to valve clearance problems. You'll have to check it to be sure. Search for piston to valve over in the internal section and you'll find lots of info on what the minimum clearances are, how and where to measure for it, and what to do if you don't have enough.

What happens if you have this problem? What sounds will it make? Will you know right away if your having this problem? I know I have a rocker to side of the head problem cause I saw the paint coming off the rockers. But it got me home ok.
