WTB: LR4 near Maryland
#1
I'm looking for a LR4 near Maryland. I really just need the bottom end of it, but if you have a complete one I don't mind so you don't have to waste your time parting it out, etc..
I'll pick up. No problem.
I didn't realize the forums were crossed together so I ended up making a new account for this site. I am also Quicklynx, and can be contacted via pm there as well.
Thanks

I know there's a parts-***** in MD that practically lives in the classifieds sections here. If he doesn't have one, just wait a week or so....
Oh look, he already posted in this thread!

I was literally just about to pull the trigger on one in Texas. I didn't even realize you were close, Mangled. How close are you to Germantown, MD?
I'm specifically going after the 4.8L. If you get one available, I really only need the shortblock.
How much would you ask for it?
Do you think someplace like Crazy Ray's Junkyard would have one?
Maybe I should just take a ride down there and pull one if I find it.

I'm going to hit Crazy Ray's in Mt Airy, right now. Hopefully, I can find one. I'm looking for flat top pistons.
There is no other way to tell other than popping the top end off, correct?
Thanks

Highly doubt CR's is going to have one. but you might get lucky. If they do they are going to want alot for it. Most of there stuff is cheap, reasonable, but others are not.
Yes unless you can run the number on the block only way to know if it is a 4.8 is to pop a head or scope the plug hole

07 is the LY2 and a 58x reluctor wheel so i can't use that one with my trans and ecu. Thanks for looking out though!
No luck at Mt. Airy.
They had a couple 5.7/6.0L irons, but that's not what I want.
Mangled, if you are going to get a 4.8L anytime soon, how much would you want for the shortblock? If you have to sell it whole what would you want?
I'm in hopes to get this block this week.
Where are you located, btw?
Thanks
