Sounds like a good plan. You'd just have to make a new secondary bracket to support the M3 (an F series bracket may work). That M3 will outflow a F1R so it should make for an interesting Street ride...
Any idea what is the main difference between the Marine and the automotive units? Having both is redundant so there must be a specific difference between the two. I was wondering if it has something to do with the abundance of water cooling for the marine units???

Nope nothing at all diff on them externally or internally from what I have gathered.. they do have funky and rather big outlets and inducer/exducer sizes compared to the auto ones.. Maybe to flow more since they are under higher rpms all the time, but not sure
