Get you a floor jack and some jack stands. That's what I used to do mine. The 2" in the front won't be anything, but the stock hangers you have to remove and replace in the rear can be a pain in the ***!!! Those heat treated rivets are hard as hell to chisel off, especially when it's up on jacks and you're laying down on your back with the air chisel. Your shoulders will start screaming after awhile. My best advice is to make friends with someone with a lift. I made one too late. Good luck with it.

the front is no biggy, you either got springs or an a arm. But either way it's easy to do just simply get your self a floor jack first of all cause you arent getting very far with out one. Second of all lift you truck from the frame on either side depending on witch side your doing first, and simply take off the ball joint, after you take off the nut on the ball joint youll probably need a pickle fork cause it's kind of tricky taking it out other wise and youll probably even need some new greese holders cause you will probably tare them up. After you do that it's simple if you have springs just let the arm fall right down and the spring should pop right out, oh by the way you might want to put onother floor jack under the arm so that the spring dont shoot it down. And if you have a arms you take off the rear two bolt's and it comes right off.

know for the back thats the pain in the *** like they said before, the shackes are no biggy, but taking off the stock hangers is a B---h on my first truck I had to use a torch to remove the rivets all though I don't recomend it especially on the gas tank side its danegerauos. And then putting the bolt's back on the knew hanger is also kind of tricky, it's easier if you just take off the hole bed that's what we had to end up doing.

try sears. I suggest the 3.5 ton jacks. they have a wider area against the floor and seem to be more stable. a jack is usually a life long investment. buy a good one and it will last you all your days

Yeah and when your working on the front put a spring compressor on those front springs. Or just wrap a chain around them. You really do not want those to come flying off. Major pain or damage can be done.
