I got two of these rear ends. Complete with axles and all. the brakes are junk and the bent backing plate was only damaged from removal. One is the long version and the other being the short version.
The long one (I believe) has a small hole from a torch, they yard guy accident burnt through cutting it out of the truck. However it's simple fix, I could even take care of it for you, but I wanted to be upfront and let you know about it before hand.
MAKE AN OFFER, I was thinking $350 for short and since the other has a hole in it $300

GMracer, do you know what gears are in them and if they are open diffs or G80's???
Looks like the standard 88-98 C/K and G Style 9.5 14 bolts The one with the driveshaft still partialy attached Is indeed out of a van (G style) wich I believe is the longer Style. The Short would be like 64.5 WMS-WMS and the Long would be 67.5 WMS-WMS. To swap the Long one in the newer style trucks, 99-up, you have to move the mounting brackets. Not that big of a deal... It will only be about 1/2 shorter side to side which is really no big deal. FWIW 99 up style 14 bolt 9.5 are 68.5 WMS-WMS
From what I understand the short 64.5 ones came in 2wd heavy 1/2 ton or light 3/4 pick ups and I have only ever seen them with 6 lugs.
The longer ones were avalible in 4wd heavy 1/2 ton or light 3/4 pick ups and some 2wd Vans. Also came in both 6 and 8 lug They were also in 3/4 suburbans in the late 80's early 90's but only in an 8 lug for that application. The subs are usually also good for a G80 a most common is the 3.73 ratio but ocassionally 4.10.
I have some spare gears, mainly 3.73 with G80's for any potential buyers if need be.
Also if some one is intrested in purchasing these from GMracer for doing a swap in a newer body style, I May be able to provide The purchaser with all the correct measuremnets provided The transaction goes smoothly and your Patient with me. I only have Sundays off currentlly and those things are heavy to drag around by ones self...
