Sold the old converter for $350, TCI pan for $120, and 4l60e for $50. Here's the pan shrapnel:

New Circle D, same spec as before, 3k/3200 stall speed.

Sometimes its the little things in life.....

$1 worth of purple power, $1 worth of spray paint, and the HD2 kit is installed and pan in on. Ready for install.

Here's what I came up with. I used what I had in the scrap pile which is just some Home Depot flat bar. I cut the old welded mount off where I converted to 2wd, figured the trans mount was now higher and further back. I measured the angle of the pinion and trans yoke and am shooting for 0 pinion angle at ride height. Couple junk welds with a Lincoln wire gun and it's in there. Im thinking the junk Anchor chinese trans mount will break before the bracket does. Time will tell. You can also see the Sonnax th400/4l80e 1330 yoke in this pic.

Now everything else is left, pin the front speed sensor, cooler lines, converter bolts, DS, dipstick, probably 16 quarts of trans fluid, etc...... Im thinking the Y pipe aint gonna fit either so that may have to be remade. But we are close and I'm excited just to see it in-place.

You’ll be much happier with the 80e.

Yoke fit great, th400/4l80e Sonnax 1330 full spline. And it has more slip then the 60e even though the 80e is about a half inch longer.

Segment swap from a 2004 HD, 12 quarts of fluid, pinned 22 and 23 for the input speed sensor, converter showed about .200 clearance so i added a 1/16th shim.

Bad *** man! I would love to do a 80e on my Escalade just can’t seem to ever find them anywhere near me or less then 1300 bucks for a high mile one. I have the btr stage 3 truck cam in a 4.8l in my s10 and I’m very happy with it. Made 326/302 to the tire on my little 4.8l and still gets good gas mileage.

I cant seem to win with this truck. Randomly started getting some gear whine under load from the rear end (motive 4.10s, stock open diff). Pulled the plug and there was some shavings. I figured I dont like the 4.10s with the 4l80e gearing so lets upgrade right? Ordered up an Auburn posi and motive 4.56s. Did the install and didnt find anything obviously wrong inside the diff, super happy with the difference though, and it tamed the converter down some for driving and towing.

Now that that $700 is gone in the wind we are good right? Nope, truck has been running like crap lately. I had installed some flow matched decapped injectors due to the stock duty cycle hitting 130%. All seemed well for a few weeks then it went bad. Fearing a faulty injector I ordered up some flex fuel injectors and adapters. Installed them, started tuning and its running worse! Something mechanical must be wrong and i bet its something simple. Time for more digging.

Fast forward, found a plug wire grounding out to the dipstick tube. The fix: regap all plugs from 60 to 35, and move the dipstick further away. She's running like a champ now.

Now I guess I'm retuning it with the new injectors and now no misfire.

Everything looks good man, I like the trans mount personally and think it'll do fine.

how do you like driving that thing around with a 3000/3200 stall? I had a yank ss3800 in my ss so I kinda have a reference point if it helps explain the truck stall. I only have 3.42 gears though and with the 6L80 trans I don't have any intention to change the rear gears since the gears are pretty short already in the trans.

Would you call the stall plenty high enough, almost high enough, or too high? Oh and does it hit the rear tires hard enough or is it non eventful if you hammer on it from a stop? In other words does it actually stall up and **** and get..

If I do stall mine, I was looking at doing a Circle D 3000 or 3200..
