Question X pipe questions

Is there a advantage to the X pipe on true duals?
Does it help the flow of the exhaust flow?
Does it make the sound any louder?

X-pipe will help to balance out the exhaust pulses and will help with scavenging...some sort of balance tube, wether it be and X or H pipe is recommended. From what I've heard, and X pipe will actually decrease the exhaust sound some...

X is the best way to go. What it does is use the exhaust pulse from one bank to pull exhaust from the other (scavenging). The older H pipe technology does the same thing less efficiently. You want your X as far forward as physically possible.

It will help out some. Like stated it makes the exhaust work better. Anytime you can make flow more efficient, you free up hp...

no, as close to the headers/cats as possible...i have an x-pipe on my SSS with dual magnaflows and it didnt really make the exhaust any quieter but it definitely made it alot more smooth sounding, took out the rasp completely. i would definitely recommend installing an x pipe on a true dual setup
