so you guys think after the rain i should hook up to him again? tell him to take out the 4-wheeler out, or i'll add 400 pounds to my bed, get even hitches, and try again?
the second pull, i could tell he was strugling, i didnt spin in 4 high at all, but i didnt have the power, he was cherping tires, but still got me slowly.

ok, i'll do it. do you think having my torsion bars cranked up might have somthing to do with it as well?

Well, realistically you want the center of gravity as low as possible when pulling for competition. So, if cranking down the torsion bars on your truck will lower it...then yes.

Either that or put some smaller tires on it...similar to stock.

Man... that's got to be some serious strain on driveline components...

I agree that it's all about traction. Are your 32" tires off-road oriented? If so, they give up a good amount of traction on pavement.

the best way to have equal traction is to pull front to front, then its who's the better driver

Here is my input on this. If you weigh more but start to smoke the tires you have no traction. Your truck may have responed faster to the throttle, and its all over. Next time on the word go, just set there and let him try to pull dead weight, not spinning tires. Once his start to let go ease into the gas and you will pull him all over the place.

yhea, i did just jump into it, it spun right away, i was thinking about rolling into it, but we thought the cops would come, it was in an open parkinglot. oopps.
My tires are BF Goodrich radial allterains, so yes they gave up a little compaired to his 20" wheels with performance tires on them.
