Thumbs down WTF!!!!!!! Hemi Pulled my 2500!!!!!

Im very upset here!!!
my buddy was flapping about his 1500 dodge, its an 04 quade cab with the hemi. he was talking about how he would pull my buddies 04 2500 hd 6.0 and going on and on about it, now my 03 2500 has 32" tires, a cold air intake, and exhaust, so i said you know what screw it, lets hook up.
he ran home threw his 400 pound 4 wheeler in the back but i said hey, im 2,500 pounds more then him so screw it. he was 6650 and im 9200 so we hook up, im in 4 low, tow haul, he's in 4 low, guy says go, all 4 wheels on my truck are barking like mad, he pulled me like nothing 40'. smoke all over and that was it. i was so embarised
so i said, ok, i spun, i had to much power, so i put it in 4 high, he staid in 4 low. we hit it, i didnt spin at all, his truck just kept chirping the tires and procedded to pull me about 30-40' again. it was harder the 2nd time for him to pull me, but his truck just pulled like mad.
His truck is box stock! icant believe he pulled me like a little ***** truck, WTF

no, my gvw is 9200 his is 6650 so realy my truck with me in it must be around 8400 or so, and his is probably around 6000 plus his 400 pound 4 wheeler.
im about 150 pounds worth of tools and stuff in the bed Either way im much hevier, with more tire and only 30 less hp and 15 less tq. he had to pull 2000+ extra pounds.
im upset with a little 1500 pulling my "HD"

Time to put some performance items on your truck! FYI - my 2500 HD ext. cab long bed is only 5,824 lbs., unloaded. If I put the max. payload of 3,376 in the bed, it weighs 9,200 lbs.

In contrast, his truck weighs ~5,290 with the 4.7l V-8, which has 240hp/300tq. If he has the bigger Hemi engine, then he has a distinct weight to power ratio.

Was his hitch height higher than your's. If so thats why you lost.
and a small difference will make a big difference.

oh, gvw of the truck is with the payload and all?
i thought it was with the people in the seat, the 180 times 4 thing.
so im only 6,000? i didnt know that. but still he has the 5.7 hemi, but he is 500 lighter then me. he did have 400 lbs 4-wheeler, but i had 150 pounds of tools.
that sheds a little light on the subject.
i didnt know the gvw included the payload.
however, it still sucks *** that he draged my big bad chevy solid as a rock, HD big tires, huge frame bla bla bla in his little 1500 Mopa dont go far!

yes, it was higher by about 1-1 1/2"
i didnt think that would matter that much? i know alot would matter, but 1"?
so should i try it again with an even hitch, and i'll throw another 200 pounds of sand in the bed?

Basically the way it works if his hitch is high than your he is basically lifting the rear of you truck and putting it on his rear tires, His hitch is lifting you hitch which connect to your frame. hence why he hooked up and you had a smoke show cause weight is being moved from your tires to his tires. Or try do one with even height and a soild connection.

Here another one for you, should do gm proud!!

Those dodges are extremely heavy. That pull-off didnt come down to power, it came down to who had better traction. I SERIOUSLY doubt your truck is much heavier if any than his. Plus the fact he has an LSD rear with an extra 400+lb load over the tires.

Make it a power thing. Load your bed with 1,000lbs and have him do the same. Then you'll get rid of the traction issue and be pulling on ***** alone.

My brother-in-law has an 01' ext cab Z71 with a lift and 33"s and we did a simular pull off. He was in 4lo talking allkinds of ****, and i was in my 2wd with the bed fully loaded. I had my Honda Rancher, cooler full of beer, 2 gas cans full, and ramps. All of which add up to about 1100lbs. Even with his in 4lo and the good ole G80 he just spun and hopped around while i pulled him.

Even weights and traction he would have handed me my ***, but i had the traction.

Dont strees to much over it, its still a dodge.
