Would 4.10 gears help me?
#12
I got mine parts and labor for $800. Tomsdifferentials.com seems to be the most reliable store and has great service as well. Just make sure you get the right carrier bearings before you pull everything out Also it did not hurt my gas mileage enough for me to notice at all. I would go with 4.10 over 3.73 any day. And yes traction sux even with 25 psi but I might try some Autozone traction bars and new tires.

Has anyone changed gears from 3.73 to 4.10? I have 3.73 and I have been happy with them but if changing to 4.10's would help alot I would consider it. How may rpm difference would I have at 70mph?

Rpm's at 70 in my truck are just at 2300,that's with a 29.4 inch tire.

Those won't make any difference at all. You could have a 4 cyl honda shifting at 7500 rpms but as long as it had 4.10 gears, 29.4" tires and a .70:1 overdrive, it would be seeing 70 mph @ about 2300 rpms, just like ranwalk.

you cant possibly think that if this guy is spinning 3800 rpm in a 4.8 vs a 6.0 that this isn't going to factor in expecialy to his gas mileage

Did I miss something? Where did 3800rpm come from? What are you talking about?
I'm not trying to flame here dude, but you might want to let people who have done the swap or is knowledgeable about the swap give the advice.
