my idle now is set at 800, and drops to 750 in gear. I guess this should be good for the cam in my sig. I havent installed it yet, but its first on my list when i get home.

5.7/6.0

how much is a motor swap cost anyways, i would think you could get a decent shop to do it for around $500.

this may sound silly but i could swap a motor in about the same amout of time as a complete nitrous install(complete means all the extras).

i am not trying to talk you out of moding the 4.8 but it seems logical to only do mods that will swap over to a 6.0 if there is any chance of that in the future.

drive it up here and we could do it in a day easy, i'd do it for ya for $400, less if your able to help(more if ya get in the way )

could do a stall at the same time for no extra money, only takes an extra 5 minutes or so.

If i put a bigger cam in my 4.8, wouldn't i be able to use the same one in a 6.0 if i wanted, though i'm sure it would behave somewhat differently, but wouldn't it fit? Also what about the torque converter i plan to put in, would i be able to reuse it with the 5.7 or 6.0?

i really dont know how much it would be to pay a shop to swap the motor, it isn't a hard job at all and i was guessing $500. i dont see how it could be over 8hours of shop time, whats a shop charge per hour these days?

before you count on that number you probably want to call around.
