Default Wideband O2 Sensor Location

I finally got my LT's and ORY and i need to have a bung welded for my wideband. My question is, do i have to have it in the collector or can it be a few inches back in the Y-pipe? Will my readings be off? The reason i ask is the LT are already coated and i don't want to re-coat after the welding. Also, i may sell the LT's down the road sometime and don't want to drill and weld into them.

No, it doesn't need to go in the collector. If you have cats, it needs to go before the cats. If not, anywhere in your y-pipe should work. The closer upstreamin your y-pipe the better IMO.
