The coolant passover line that runs from one head to the other on these ls engines. I figured while it is out i could do it to clean it up a lil.. Thanks

I think it works to keep air pockets from being trapped in the heads.

For this matter, why do the cars have crossovers from all four corners and the back two on trucks are blocked off, but front two crossed over? Would we benefit from a fbody/vette style crossover?

Actually, the trucks had the crossover from all four corners before, from 99-02 maybe 03 also. The corvette was the first to go to only the front crossover and block the rears. Didn't know the newer truck are like this now also.

The engine sits at an angle (tilted back) so since the air will find the highest point, that would be at the front of the engine right where the crossover pipe is on the newer vehicles.
