Did that, didn't work. The serial connection does work with a-tap. No matter. I bought a new laptop that only has USB. I bought the adapter, and will give it a shot this week.

I think it might be your cable. It could also be something to do with your truck.

I tried ot on mine before I had the new version of edit and it just said no connection. Once I got the newer version it would connect, but I used the benchtop cable and had no problems.

Has edit ever worked right for you? Sounds like you have tried nearly everything. You may want to try a benchtop cable if you know someone that has one. Sounds like you have a problem with the cable they sent you. Do the lights come on the cable unit? Do you see them flashing/moving at all?

OK, I pretty much have tried everything:
Several cables
several PC settings
etc.....
Some lights work, some don't.
But as of now, the point is moot. I will be hitting MTI Friday morning at 9:00 and let the experts try again with the new laptop. If it doesn't work this time, I'm selling the truck and getting a Yugo!

NOT!!!!!
