GM says the coil packs are good for 200,000 miles at 8ms. Increasing them to @6.5ms may shorten there expected lift to @300K miles, and thats not all that bad. There was a huge write up about dwell increase on the tech. It made a noticable difference when i did it.

A NA LS motor usualy hits peak hp with 29-31* timing at WOT.

Thanks for the info, I was just thinking conceptually, not with real life numbers.

My DCR is about 8.5:1. I ran it through a DCR calculator.

Good info to know. I'm running about 26* at WOT right now, looks like I have plenty of room to play with.

Ok My house needs new wall paper too, so you might as well come and take that too

Do you have a log of it when your feeling this dogness? Are you possible not getting the spark that your commanding?

The highlighted cell on the table is where I'm at when brake stalling, .64 g/cyl and 2400 RPM. Commanded, based on the spark table, is 27*, actual from the scanner is 24*. I haven't figured out where the other 3* are being lost yet, but actual timing is definitely 24*.

I don't have any logs of a hard launch yet, I just remember the .64/2400

Make sure burst KR isn't pulling the timing. I had quite a bit of timing getting pulled from my Burst KR table.

I de-sensitized BKR - I'm wondering if I should just set it to zero. Where's yours?

My delta airmass table is .600 all the way down.

I have mine set at .040 and it kept mine from getting burst KR.

Edit: I'm also using HPT so it may be a little different I don't know.
