Who is using exhaust to pull crankcase vacuum?

seemed like it was working ok but you definately need a way for presure to get out if that unit doesn't work well. i pulled it off for some reason toward the end of when i had my truck and i couldn't tell the diference. ended up running just a filter on the valve cover and the same set up on the fairmont.
the fairmont has seen a pretty tuff life and that filter is barely damp.

OK sounds like maybe it's not worth the hassle then. I could put a line from one of the valve covers to the elbow in front of the turbo with a catch can inline a lot easier than installing that scavenger kit. Thanks for the update Jim.

i know you dont want to just vent it but i think that is the best way to do it. simple, cheap and efective.

for me it is about cost and performance. the vent cost the least and will not have a negative effect of performance where the oil in the intake probably will.

While reading this i remembered that i still have those Solnoids from the STS kit..
Im thinking about running the 'noid to the Hobb switch so it can pull vacuum on the Crankcase until i get in boost then it opens up and lets the CC breath to the atmosphere through a breather. also run a catch can so no oil should go into the intake?
Sound good?
