I have 2003 hd whith a whipple and a whipple tune. It keeps throwing p0101 codes , cant figure it out. Can anyone help

 

That is a MAF code.

 

had dealership ceck everything checks out ok including maf

 

P0101 is Maximum delta airflow.It's a MAF code.Your exceeding the threshold value of that table..

 

i used to get that code all the time. it drove me f'n crazy. somehow allan got rid of it with edit. not sure how, sorry

 

My truck has been throwing that code evar since I've owned it...never had one problem.

 

If you are maxing the maf, be aware of your fueling. You will go lean very quickly once you max it (unless you are tuned for it) because the fueling numbers will not be in normal relation to the maf at the rpms where you hit the mafs limit anymore.

If you have edit, see at what rpm you max the maf out at and add fuel from that rpm cell and higher in the PE versus rpm table under fueling.

 

running too lean would not be a good thing lean is mean until it breaks then it will not be a good day

 

what i cant figure out is why i can run a wot all day and it wont throw any code. At part throtle is the only time it throws that code

 

I think it is an 'out of boundary' code. I fit seems a lot more airflow at the rpm than it is programmed to see, it will trip this. You may just be flowing more air at say 1600-1800rpm than it thinks it should be seeing. It will then set the code.

You can fix this boundary limit in edit.
