Default where to place hooker muffler so i have NO drone

I need to know where to place the hooker aero chamber muffler and where to run the tail pipe for best sound but NO drone or anything like that. my truck is a DD, and I drive 500-600 miles a week. (I want to run a denali chrome tip on the tail pipe)
also, do I need a center in/center out 3" muffler? Truck is a ECSB 5.3

thanks

stock location will be fine for placement of the muffler. center in/out is the one you want. best sound is turn down before the axle since you have longer exaust w/ an ext cab.

typically the further back the exit the less chance of drone. Some drone comes from turn downs and the sound reverberating under the cab or bed. This varries per application of course. If you have a Flowcrapper you will get drone reguardless of what you do.

would putting a small dynomax bullet infront or behind the muffler help the resonance? I have been reading, and some have a problem with resonance/drone when exited in stock location??

would that efect the sound ?

I have never heard an Aerochamber before so I can speak for that. I have Hooker Maxflows on a 383 truck of mine and they sound great with absolutely no resonance. An in-line bullet should reduce resonance if placed before it I would think. I don't know for sure but that is something I would probably try myself. Thanks for the compliment.

if you still have the stock cats you wont need it..... I have no cats with a aerochamber and get NO drone, mine are exiting in front of the rear tire...
