Default Where to hook up tach on nbs

Just wondering where I run the tach wire to on my 99 nbs to hook up a aftermarket tach

Yep and you'll probable have to set the tach to 4cyl to get the right reading out of it.

tach has to be set on 4 banger mode, i think it is a white wire behind the cluster

Most aftermarket tachs have a switch on the back for 4, 6 or 8 cylinders for normal ignition systems so they read right. The pulse count that these trucks use is the same as a 4 cylinder so you have to set that switch to 4cylinder mode

on the autometer tachs u have snip two wires on the back of the tach, i believe they are orange and brown, cant remember exactly

Switches set to 4cyl mode, Connected to the white(kinda beige) wire and works perfect.
