Where to hook up tach on nbs

Just wondering where I run the tach wire to on my 99 nbs to hook up a aftermarket tach

It is the white wire behind the cluster

Yep and you'll probable have to set the tach to 4cyl to get the right reading out of it.

tach has to be set on 4 banger mode, i think it is a white wire behind the cluster

Most aftermarket tachs have a switch on the back for 4, 6 or 8 cylinders for normal ignition systems so they read right. The pulse count that these trucks use is the same as a 4 cylinder so you have to set that switch to 4cylinder mode ;)

on the autometer tachs u have snip two wires on the back of the tach, i believe they are orange and brown, cant remember exactly

Switches set to 4cyl mode, Connected to the white(kinda beige) wire and works perfect.
