I paid $ 450.00 for a LQ4 from a rebuilder, it was just a long block nothing extra,
i wanted to rebuild it my self.

 

i would look on ebay or one of the other sites like said above. But i did call the dealer and they gave me a price of 3600 with the employe discount, which i didn't think was to bad comin from a dealer.

 

What are your plans with it? Are you wanting to do a fully built motor right now or are you going to be messing with it a little at a time? A used one is perfectly fine of course make sure it is legit though but if you have some moeny to spend and im not talking like a shitload check out the sponsors! SLP,SDPC(Sgroggin-Dickey),HPE, or cmotorsports(combination motorsports) can all build you a very nice shortblock! You can also buy a bareblock from them pretty cheap!

 

I just don't want to spend anymore money on this 4.8 because the results are minimum. I want something that has some potential and I can buy little things at a time. It will still be a daily driver.
