I'm looking to buy a 6.0lq9 and was just wondering where most of yall had purchased yours at. Tomorrow i'm going to check the dealership and see what prices they have and also what about wrecking yards?

Oh god!! Dealership bad! www.car-part.com good. That site can be your friend. I got mine from a yard in OK City for $1250 complete.

I got mine from a wrecking yard. Its a 2003 LQ9 6.0L out of a 03 escalade ext with only 22k. Paid 1500 for it. It took me over a month to find a good deal.

Did you get it off the internet or just drove around looking for one. I'll have to check around here and see.

I looked on car-part for a long dam time. Called on some. Either had too many miles, filled with water, sat open for a long time, too far away, etc etc. BUT, then I found one on there, I called them up, got a little background on it. Then went to pick it up the following weekend. 2800 miles and it was pretty much complete except for the missing alt, a/c comp and fan. I did open the motor up and check things out and install a few things.

LQ9s are pretty expensive on there. Keep searching you will find out though. Also, dont bother emailing those places, they never respond. Just give them a call.

www.sdpc2000.com Try them for a new motor...

Look at all your local wrecking yards.
